Our Story
For more than 35 years, Child’s Play has sold quality toys and books, specially curated to develop children’s sense of wonder and play.
Our founder, Steven Aarons, started Child’s Play in 1986 because he believed that toys are the tools children use to explore the world. Our marvelous toys and books help children discover their gifts, develop their skills and have fun. Because play is the most important part of childhood.
That spirit and legacy is preserved by our current owner, Rita Pin Ahrens, a long-time customer, former teacher and community advocate. She has diligently maintained our beloved, neighborhood store that has brought families joy for years.
As soon as you step in the door, you feel the magic of Child’s Play. From the toys that inspire hours of creative play to the well-loved books, our belief in the power of play imbues every corner of the store.
As an important member of our community, Child's Play supports hundreds of local schools and organizations. And we not only care about kids, we care about preserving our planet for their future. That's why our store is powered by solar energy.
